On Beloved A David Lanz Collection album, David Lanz have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Such great and happy songs.
First Light rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.
David Lanz sings Leaves On The Seine in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Madre De La Tierra is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. From the moment you listen to Return To The Heart you’re hooked. Courage Of The Wind is simply excellent. Summer’s Child can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what David Lanz is all about. Variations On A Theme From Pachebel’s Canon In D Major had me crying as I was able to relate so well. In Cristofori’s Dream it becomes nowhere more obvious that David Lanz has yet to define own style. All of songs on Beloved A David Lanz Collection and have something to say letting alone Angels Of Hope. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Before The Last Leaf Falls is nothing short of a modern masterpiece.
