On Love Songs album, David Lanz have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Love Songs carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. There is so much to love about David Lanz, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Beloved and Path With A Heart is really good.

Path With A Heart - My least favorite song on this album. Heartsounds gives taste of what makes David Lanz special as a musician. Lyrics of Song For Monet are precise and evocative. Dreamer’s Waltz rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Summer’s Child is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Blew our minds when we first heard London Blue. In Cristofori’s Dream the music gets its power. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Farewell Amparo from the beginning to the end. It took me a little time but I ended up loving The Embrace. Leaves On The Seine is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Return To The Heart has a fun tempo. Charming song, great melody.
