It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of David Sanborn energies, virtually a rebirth. This is the first studio album from David Sanborn since bad diagnosis in 1994. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of David Sanborn on ‘Savanna’. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song.
Little Face is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. I think Got To Give It Up is the best song David Sanborn has ever done. Jaws pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. I love the melodic melody of Mirage and to this day it makes me feel good. Big Foot - arguably the best track on Hearsay album. As always, David Sanborn’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Ojiji is one of the coolest songs David Sanborn has ever recorded.
