Love Songs isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of David Sanborn on ‘All I Need Is You’. Lead single “All I Need Is You” and “Straight To The Heart” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Exciting stuff.

Straight To The Heart is one of these floating songs. Blew our minds when we first heard One In A Million. Music in It’s You is marvelous as in all tracks of Love Songs. The Seduction - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Voice and instruments in Imogene complement each other. You Don’t Know Me is the more seemingly obscure song on Love Songs that bear up best to repeated listening. Some call You Are Everything from Love Songs as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Once I Do It For Your Love gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with When You Smile At Me. The Water Is Wide - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
