While no new David Sanborn album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Europe. Now signed to David Sanborn’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Pearls” leads David Sanborn’s back-to-school campaign. It has been thirteen years David Sanborn’ last studio CD, “Pearls” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. David Sanborn “Pearls” is an amazing album.
After few listenings I started to like For All We Know more and more.
You have to get essence of the Try A Little Tenderness’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Smoke Gets In Your Eyes. Pearls is one of the best records ever. After few listenings I started to like Come Rain Or Come Shine more and more. This Masquerade which is my favorite is a truly David Sanborn sounding song. In Everything Must Change it becomes nowhere more obvious that David Sanborn has yet to define own style. Superstar to me is the best you can get from David Sanborn. This is one hell of a track.
