John Digester has compared writing for Demis Roussos’s new album to that on ‘Time’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Demis Roussos’s album Time falls to No. 2 with 549,000, a sales slide of 84%. On Time album, Demis Roussos have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Time is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Loving You is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite.
There is cool mix of music in Time. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Step By Step (4:09) a good melody. Mamy Blue is absolutely incredible. Dance Of Love is the more seemingly obscure song on Time that bear up best to repeated listening. I Won’t Give Up is almost impossible to review. In My Song Of Love full palet of sound is used by Demis Roussos to accentuate the presentation. Let The Bells Ring is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Looking For You is perfect. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. I like the idea behind On Ecrit Sur Les Murs. I think Poesie is the best song Demis Roussos has ever done. I have all of Demis Roussos’s tracks and Sandra Princesse Rebelle is probably the most his introspective effort.
