Self-described as Alternative with lots of words, Die Toten Hosen comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the first studio album from Die Toten Hosen since bad diagnosis in 2002. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Die Toten Hosen has. I wish that “Reich and Sexy II (CD 1) - Die Fetten Jahre” album was instrumental.
Charming song, great melody.
Bonnie and Clyde is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Schon Sein is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Reich and Sexy II (CD 1) - Die Fetten Jahre have ended. When I listen to Frauen Dieser Welt in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Paradies marked the continuation of Die Toten Hosen in style evolution. Music in Nichts Bleibt Fur Die Ewigkeit is gorgeous as in all tracks of Reich and Sexy II (CD 1) - Die Fetten Jahre. Was Zahlt has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Unsterblich is the albums biggest surprise. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Warum Werde Ich Nicht Satt? is really the reason why I recommend buying Reich and Sexy II (CD 1) - Die Fetten Jahre. Die Toten Hosen must have run out of lyrics on the next track Madelaine. Weihnachtsmann Vom Dach - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Zur Holle Und Zuruck - For me, this is the best of the album. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Reich and Sexy II (CD 1) - Die Fetten Jahre. Still going through Reich and Sexy II (CD 1) - Die Fetten Jahre and coming to appreciate Niemals Einer Meinung more and more with every listen. As always, Die Toten Hosen’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Auld Lang Syne stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. When listening to Zehn Kleine Jagermeister, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Schonen Gruss, Auf Wiederseh’n very upbeat.
