After debuting at No. 1 last week, Dr. Dre’s album Concrete Roots falls to No. 2 with 973,000, a sales slide of 82%. While no new Dr. Dre album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Europe. Concrete Roots isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Concrete Roots is the best essence of Dr. Dre.
Some of the arrangements found on Concrete Roots are surprisingly edgy.
Dr. Dre rocks harder than ever with The Formula. It’s Funky Enough motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Dre’s Beat Re-Mix (0:49) - awsome. I like the agression and power of Surgery II. Paid For It as a highlight of Concrete Roots contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. No More Lies - A strong beat. Another ‘G’ Thang is astounding. The Planet is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Dre’s Beat is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Get Concrete Roots and turn on Must Be The Music if you are going to sip your wine late at night. The Grand Finale is absolutely incredible. N-Tervu - arguably the best track on Concrete Roots album. Concrete Roots (Radio Reprise) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined.
