This -song debut EP shows the promise that E Nomine has. Now signed to E Nomine’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Finsternis” leads E Nomine’s back-to-school campaign. E Nomine was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from E Nomine and Finsternis together. This is what good New Age should be.

I like the agression and power of Mitternacht. This track is full of harmonies and gets Finsternis off to a relaxing start. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Reise Nach Transylvanien (Interlude) - Check out that bassline! Album opener Draculs Bluthochzeit is a bright, upbeat ditty. E Nomine rocks harder than ever with Die Offenbahrung (Interlude). E Nomine sings his heart out in Seance. Die Bedrohung (Interlude) is one of these floating songs. In Das Boese the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Die Suche (Interlude) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Die Schwarzen Reiter. Die Verlautbahrung (Interlude) - A nice song. I was truly moved when I heard Zorn (Die 12 Verbotenen Toene). Musically Hexenein X Eins (Interlude) is superior to other tracks in Finsternis. Hexenjagd - a classic song. Some of the arrangements found on Finsternis are surprisingly edgy. Der Exorzist - E Nomine first major hit. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Der Tod (Interlude). Opening track Der Ahnungsschauer (Interlude) shows the best of E Nomine. Angst without a doubt is the standout song of Finsternis. Charming song, great melody. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Finsternis. Das Schweigen (Interlude) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. E Nomine breathes new life into the music in Die Nachtwache. All of songs on Finsternis and have something to say letting alone Die Stimme (Interlude). Aus Dem Jenseits - To me, this is the best song on the Finsternis.
