Since Ennio Morricone last CD (Secret Of The Sahara) on Blue Note Records back in 1987, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is so much to love about Ennio Morricone, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Ennio Morricone was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Ennio Morricone and Secret Of The Sahara together. Check it every song is worth the money for the Secret Of The Sahara CD!
Secret Of The Sahara is the more seemingly obscure song on Secret Of The Sahara that bear up best to repeated listening.
Sholomon one is one of the better boring ones. The Mountain is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with The Hawk. The song The Golden Door ending is my favorite… so catchy! In The Myth And The Adventure you won’t find any flashy solos. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. This track is clearly meant to showcase Ennio Morricone’s vocal abilities. A fantastic track full of wonder. I now have Secret Of The Sahara as one of my personal favorites. First Dedication - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Ennio Morricone. This is one hell of a track. Miriam And Philip is just simply stunning. Ennio Morricone offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself.
