Thom Yorke has compared writing for Feist’s new album to that on ‘Monarch’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s natural for Feist to take a stab at ‘The Mast’ considering her long-professed love for Azymuth. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Monarch’ really is amazing. Such great and happy songs.
Still True - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
I like Flight #303 because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. That’s What I Say, It’s Not What I Mean - A nice song. In Monarch Feist spins a tale you want to hear to the end. One Year a.d. is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. The sound of La Sirena is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Family good vocals.
