After debuting at No. 1 last week, Focus’s album Mother Focus falls to No. 2 with 200,000, a sales slide of 82%. It has been seven years Focus’ last studio CD, “Mother Focus” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Focus on ‘Mother Focus’. To me Focus is the best band ever.
Soft Vanilla marked the continuation of Focus in style evolution.
This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Bennie Helder - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Focus. Hard Vanilla is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Tropic Bird is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. From the moment you listen to Focus IV you’re hooked. Someone’s Crying…What! very upbeat. All Together…Oh That! has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Focus’s strong vocals come to the fore. No Hang Ups gets you up and jumping. Focus sings his heart out in My Sweetheart. Father Bach has a fun tempo.
