It’s natural for Heather Nova to take a stab at ‘Talk To Me’ considering her long-professed love for Godsplague. Since Heather Nova last CD (South) on Mute Records back in 2001, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is the first studio album from Heather Nova since bad diagnosis in 2001. Smart music for smart people.
It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
Virus Of The Mind - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Heather Nova is one of artists that allow his songs like Like Lovers Do to stand on their own and be heard. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. I loved Heaven Sent the first time I heard it. It’s Only Love gives good insight into the truths. I’m No Angel good vocals. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Listening to When Somebody Turns You On you can hear that Heather Nova has still amazing chemistry with band members. Gloomy Sunday is the most memorable and cool. Tested is another strong production from Heather Nova. Although Just Been Born is very melodic it is far from sad.
