Strike Up The Band is simply gorgeous.
Track 9 one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Once you hear Track 8, you will listen to it over and over. Herb Alpert offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Track 6 has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Track 5 is a bit of a show-tune. Track 4 - I just love it. Herb Alpert is hitting on all cylinders in Track 3. Track 2 is simple, dignified and effective, Herb Alpert refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Track 1 is Herb Alpert’s best work in years.
