Kojiki isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There is so much to love about Kitaro, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Lead single “Hajimari” and “Sozo” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
I have all of Kitaro’s tracks and Orochi is probably the most his introspective effort.
Sozo (5:34) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This track is clearly meant to showcase Kitaro’s vocal abilities. Matsuri is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Reimei.
