It has been thirteen years Tracy Lawrence’ last studio CD, “Strong” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Tracy Lawrence has. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Tracy Lawrence on ‘It’s All How You Look At It’. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
It’s so catchy, it’s amazing.
Strong hits the heart. Stones stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Paint Me A Birmingham is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. The sound in Everywhere But Hollywood is really warm and Tracy Lawrence’s signature voice is still very much present. There is excellent mix of music in A Far Cry From You. Voice and instruments in What The Flames Feel Like complement each other. Simple and heartfelt closing track Sawdust On Her Halo closes Strong on a high note. When Daddy Was A Strong Man is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Strong is Think Of Me. The song The Questionnaire ending is my favorite… so catchy!
