This is the first studio album from Van Morrison since bad diagnosis in 2007. Self-described as Soundtrack with lots of words, Van Morrison comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. For older fans Van Morrison At The Movies: Soundtrack Hits will put a massive smile accross your face. This album is a scorcher!
Hungry For Your Love is a very catchy tune.
Baby Please Don’t Go - (Them) as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Jackie Wilson Said (I’m In Heaven When You Smile) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Domino is probably the highlight of the album. One listen to the sheer beauty of Moondance (live) previously unreleased version was all I needed. Queen Of The Slipstream was the first single release from the album Van Morrison At The Movies: Soundtrack Hits. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Van Morrison must have run out of lyrics on the next track Wonderful Remark. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Best song on the album, love it. Into the Mystic (live) is a medium tempo tune. Someone Like You gets you up and jumping. Bright Side Of The Road is excellent work of Van Morrison. Van Morrison emotions are reflected through Have I Told You Lately. Real Real Gone is gorgeous song though, very addictive. Irish Heartbeat (w/Chieftains) is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Comfortably Numb (live)Recorded live at the Berlin Wall in 1990 with Roger Waters has a fun tempo.
