‘Recopilacion Vol.3′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Lead single “Please Stay” and “Rub Me Raw” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Warren Zevon’s new album to that on ‘Recopilacion Vol.3′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This album is a scorcher!
From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Keep Me In Your Heart one of the best in my collection. Warren Zevon allows each song to breathe and flourish. Disorder In The House is possibly the best song Warren Zevon has come up. Simple and heartfelt closing track Knockin On Heaven s Door closes Recopilacion Vol.3 on a high note. Warren Zevon must have run out of lyrics on the next track Numb As A Statue. She s Too Good For Me is the albums biggest surprise. Prison Grove is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This track is full of harmonies and gets Recopilacion Vol.3 off to a relaxing start. The Rest Of The Night is a great opener for Recopilacion Vol.3. Charming song, great melody. Lord Byron s Luggage actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Warren Zevon’s face. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Laissez-moi tranquille (feat. Ariel Zevon) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Don’t judge I Have To Leave on the first listening.
